Established in 1891, our town was named for W.C. Dimmitt, a circuit

riding preacher who traveled the area in the late 1800's, Dimmitt

continues its family centered traditions with nineteen churches,

a quality school system & comprehensive medical facilities.  Located

on the High Plains of Texas, Dimmitt is a thriving agri-business
